Polus Center

Polus Center Cluj represents a state-of-the-art urban concept.

The center has been developed by the Hungarian company Trigranit, which is the third largest property developer in Europe and is owned by Immoeast AG, the largest listed property company in Austria with a focus on investments in Central and Eastern Europe. The management of the center is ensured by Trigranit Management Romania, a professional company that also manages three other projects owned by Immoeast AG in Romania: Armonia Arad, Euromall Piteşti and Polus Center Constanţa (is still in the development phase). The project has been designed so that it brings together the best retail selection, service offer and entertainment opportunities, in an elegant, clean and safe environment. Polus Center Cluj is the largest Romanian multifunctional complex built on a single level and also the largest commercial centre in Transylvania.

The complex aims to reproduce the centre of a city, but under a single roof. Everybody who comes to Polus, children, teenagers, families, will find everything they need. Polus Center comprises a full range of services, starting from shops, cafés, meeting and resting places, up to banks, post offices or pharmacies. Once you enter Polus, there is nothing you can’t find there.

The company

Polus Center Cluj has been developed by the company TriGranit and now it is in the portfolio of the Austrian group IMMOEAST AG.

IMMOEAST AG was founded in 1999 as a subsidiary of IMMOFINANZ in order to manage the activities from Central Europe of the mother-company. IMMOEAST is purchased at the Vienna stock exchange from December 2003 and it advanced in the segment Prime Market in March 2005. 54% of the shares of the companies are the propriety of IMMOFINANZ, the European real estate company with the most diverse portfolio, fact that allows IMMOEAST to take advantage of the long years of experience and the know-how accumulated by the mother-company.

IMMOEAST follows a successful diversification strategy that is the only one among the companies from Eastern and Central Europe. The company is now present in Romania, Czech Republic, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Lithuania.

The activities portfolio of IMMOEAST includes 460 objectives that reach the sum of 5,9 millions of square meters of useful space. The portfolio covers all the sectors of the property market – from offices, commercial spaces, garages, logistic units to hotels – fact that situates IMMOEAST in an independent position compared to the evolutions n the independent markets.

On the new markets one usually enters by acquiring shares from the local partners that have a stable position. IMMOEAST works only with well known companies that have a tradition in developing successful business. The direct investments are done after he entrance on the new market proves to be a success.
